The 6-Week Course: Reignite, Restart, Revamp Your Life
Hello, I'm Morfett Flores, Coach & Founder of Mogressive Strategy Coaching, and this is my service dog, Loki. My motto for this course is, "Be The One." Thank you for taking the time to invest in your future and the future of those you care about.
My Story: Finding My Path
Before founding Mogressive Coaching, I had people around me who supported me, but they couldn’t offer the support I needed or was searching for at the time. I realized I had to "be the one" to make permanent changes through personal growth. I was tired of chasing something unattainable and started to understand why my brothers from the military took their own lives. Up until this past year, I’ve lost six brothers due to suicide from combat-related injuries. The latest was our company commander, my age, who took his life in the VA parking lot.
When I left the military, I was searching for trust but couldn’t find anyone I trusted enough to open up fully. I was tired of explaining "how I felt" on intake forms. I missed the brotherhood and cohesiveness and started to feel alone. I just wanted to be normal – a quiet mind, a peaceful heart, and someone to spend my life with.
The Turning Point
Failing community college with a 0.08 GPA, I began working on myself – implementing mindshifting techniques, changing daily habits, learning about emotional intelligence and self-awareness, and how to rewire the brain to break away from heightened fight-or-flight responses. I came up with the affirmation, “Irreversible change without regret is cleansing,” which complements our motto, "Be The One." I knew "I was the one" when I could look back at life peacefully without remorse, regret, or negative thoughts.
Meeting and matching with Loki, my service dog, changed my life. Loki allowed me to be here today and to attack life confidently. From PTSD, anxiety, insomnia, headaches, ringing in my ears, memory loss, survivor’s guilt, self-isolation, depression, brain injuries, nightmares – everything and everyone triggered me at that time. That was my norm, and I was tired of fighting that reality. But now, I have people I trust: Loki, my family and friends, and myself.
Achievements and Growth
Today, I have completed college with a 3.2 GPA and started graduate school. I own a successful life coaching business, give motivational speeches, and am 100% happy, full of empathy, compassion, and wisdom. I am honest with myself, the people I love, and those I want to create positive memories with.
I share this affirmation with my veteran clients when breaking comfort zones: “Be uncomfortable so the people you love can be comfortable. Sacrifice is only temporary, with the right mindset.” I found my passion through my pain, and I don’t want anyone to go through it alone, especially my brothers and sisters in arms. I had no other choice but to "be the one."

Too Close Out
"Now I’m the one," and soon enough, you’ll be the one. For every family generation, there is only one member who breaks away from generational limitations – and it’s you. Consider today a win for taking the first step in becoming "the one."
My life before Mogressive Coaching was difficult, but it could have been the rest of my life or the end of it. That’s the scariest part. So, I challenge you today, this week, and the remainder of the month to "be the one."
Remember, not all wounds are visible. Life can be an emotional rollercoaster at times. A simple "Hey, how's it going?" to a cashier, bank teller, stranger, or stopping by a VFW or veterans' outreach services can make a difference. Call a close friend or relative and say, "Hey, I was thinking about you the other day and wanted to see how you were doing because I care about you."
As a sergeant in the Army, I used to tell my soldiers to express vulnerability sometimes. It shows you care, you’re compassionate, and that they matter to you.
"Be the one."
