To achieve peak performance, it is important to be equally attentive to both physical and mental health. 95% of male and 85% of female athletes report higher stress compared to 52% of non-athlete students.

The most common Stressors causing negative or low performances & productivity derive from:

  • overwhelming responsibilities

  • insomnia/sleep deprivation

  • being away from home for the first time.

  • social isolation from students other than their teammates.

  • adapting to campus/athletic culture.

  • An abstract understanding of emotions & behavior
